Alice May X Giri Guru - Skateboard

For the past few months, we've been working on an extremely exciting collaboration project that we can finally share with all of y'all! As some of you might know skateboarding was officially announced as an Olympic Sport to debut at the 2021 Summer Olympic Games.

For this particular project, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to collaborate with Alice May; a passionate and talented, Hong Kong based skateboarder, who came 1st at the Hong Kong Skateboarding Open Competition and Hong Kong Skateboarding Squad Team Selection Test 2018 for the Youth Women's Park Skateboarding category!

While discussing with Alice, we wanted to incorporated parts of Alice’s story into the design - cats are Alice’s favourite animal and butterflies symbolise her grandmother;
AM: “When my grandma passed away (she was very supportive of my skateboarding and got me my first board, a penny) we believe she reincarnated as a butterfly.”
